Methodology

Public waiting list data is sourced from the National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) official publications, updated monthly. Figures represent the total number of patients on inpatient/day case (IPDC) waiting lists, broken down by time bands.

Private hospital information is sourced from hospital websites. Where hospitals publish pricing (e.g. Rapid Cardiac Care assessments), verified costs are shown. For surgical procedures where no pricing is published, hospital contact details are provided so patients can request quotes directly.

This tool presents factual data to help patients and their GPs make informed decisions. It does not recommend any particular hospital or treatment pathway.
